On Saturday, June 16 the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law will celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day.
The agenda is as follows:
Noon - Opening Ceremony
12:15 - Lunch - Ojibway-Style tacos (meat and veggie options) from the Pow Wow Café
12:45 - Lesson - The Little Eagle Feathers (5-8) Sing With Us Drum Group from the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation will teach us a welcome song
2:45 - Closing Ceremony
This event is free and all members of the law school community - students, staff, faculty, alumni, friends and family (including kids) - are welcome. Please bring your own hand drum if you have one, no worries if you don't!
