We're going "Platinum!". The 20th Annual Elvis Festival will return to Historic Main Street in Garden Grove to celebrate its Platinum Anniversary! The Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is free admission and parking. Limited reserved seating at the entertainment stage for additional fees.Kirk Wall, our Elvis Festival Ambassador for the 20th year, will kick off the Festival with a song and dance number with the Halau Hula Lani Ola dancers at 10:30 a.m. and will perform later in the day with his band Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies from 3:15 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. as they do bluegrass versions of Elvis songs. THIS YEAR they will also be "performing" a re-enactment as THEY IMAGINED the meeting and jam session that went down when Elvis and The Beatles got together on August 27, 1965,Tribute Artist Martin Anthony will return as a featured performer singing Presley’s gospel hits at 10:15 a.m. and duets with Erika Boychenko as Ann Margret and Lisa Marie Presley and with Steven Williamson as Tom Jones and Frank Sinatra during the 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Inspiration of Elvis set. He will also sing while Gee "Gigi" Rabe, L.A. Accordion Diva plays the accordion and perform with Wall's band during the Beatles portionWilliamson will also take on his own set at 1 p.m. with a variety of Elvis hits.James King will go "Unplugged" at 2:15 p.m. with his piano and guitar playing prowess to go along with his stellar vocal talents . There will be a special Elvis chorus during one of his songs.We will top off the 20th Festival with the return of Scot Bruce and his Band at 4:45 p.m. so we can END THIS PARTY ON A ROCKIN' HIGH!The King of Rock 'n' Roll's legacy lives on through his inspiration to people of all ages and not just those who impersonate him. The Inspiration of Elvis set from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. features a combination of non-Elvis looking singers and tribute artists, all of which have been inspired in some way by the life and music of Elvis.They include: non-Elvis singers: Ken Sharp, Tom Racobs, Yvette Williams, Ron Wohler, The Valdez Sisters (Ariel, Dahlia and Melody), Marcus Beebe, Jae Flores, Bobby Santos, Erika Boychenko with Elizabeth Huston on harp and Elvis Tribute artists Sean Martin, Anthony Alcala and Fernie Ramirez.ALSO featured will be the King of Cadillacs Car Show presented by the Shark Squad Motorcycle Attorneys (MORE AWARDS THIS YEAR), The Hound Dog Motorcycle Ride to the Festival presented by Lifestyle Cycles, the Dunka Dunka Burning Love Dunk Tank at the TraumOne booth in partnership with the Assistance League of Garden Grove, the Elvis Fan Clubs: Jailhouse Rockers of California and the Blue Suede Shoes of California, Elvis memorabilia and specialty vendors.Other new attractions include New York Times Best Selling Writer Ken Sharp signing and selling his two Elvis books: Writing for the King and Elvis: Vegas '69 and special appearance by Tanya Lemani, belly dancer in the "Little Egypt" Guitar Man production number from Elvis's 1968 Comeback TV Special in the Doo Wop cruise booth.Food trucks featuring special Elvis themed menu items along with their regular bill of fare include Stick-a-berry, Dreamy Creations, Barcelona on the Go, and the Deli Doctor. Blenderhead Ice Cream will have an assortment of novelty concoctions including two Elvis themed flavors.Several restaurants on Main Street will be part of the festivities including Azteca Mexican Restaurant, Louie's on Main, E' Patisserie Cafe and Kaye's Kitchen.
