This year, the Pacific Region Cadet Leadership School (RCLS) will be held at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada (Home of the USAF Thunderbirds). RCLS is an intense 5-day in-residence cadet officer training school with areas of study in Officership & Character, Communication Skills, Interpersonal Relations, Critical & Creative Thinking and Leadership Theory. Because RCLS addresses skills relating to indirect leadership and company-grade cadet officer topics, participating cadets need to be cadet officers or cadets on the cusp of officership. Therefore, students attending RCLS should have completed an encampment and hold the grade of C/2d Lt or above. Grade waivers for C/CMSgts may be granted on a space available basis. The student fee for RCLS is $250. The fee covers the cost of billeting, meals, academic supplies and local transportation. Students registering on or before Friday 2 November receive a $15 discount. The activity fee for cadre and senior members is $190.
Cadet students will report for in-processing at 1600 (4:00 pm) on Wednesday 26 December 2018. Required forms will include the CAPF-31 (Application for Special Activity), CAPF-160 (Health History), CAPF-161 (Emergency Information). All forms must be complete and properly signed. All cadets 18 or older must meet the CAP Cadet Protection requirement.
Graduation is planned for 0900 (9:00 am) on Monday 31 December. Students should expect to be released by 1100 (11:00 am). It is recommended return flight arrangements be made no earlier than 1430 (2:30 pm) that day.
