Hydroponics and School Gardens Teacher Training

During the 7.5 hour face-to-face session:
This hands-on course covers how to germinate seeds, transplant seedlings, how to properly maintain and troubleshoot a hydroponics system, as well as how to harvest from a hydroponics system and how to utilize that harvest with farmers’ markets, chef demos, and/or salad bars. Teachers will have the opportunity to collaborate with one another to design and build a hydroponics system out of recycled materials, with a two week online course designed to help complete the project. One face-to-face session will take place for 7.5 hours on Saturday, February 9. An additional minimum of 7.5 hours must be completed online in CANVAS.

If you want to receive 1 PDE credit and/or 5 Contact Units you need to complete an additional 7.5 hours:
TEACHERS RECEIVE 1 PDE CREDIT/5 CONTACT UNITS UPON COMPLETION OF TRAINING.
**Middle School or High School teachers can earn PDE credit.**Charter School teachers are able to earn PDE credit.**Teachers may receive on-boarding credit for this PDE.
