When you fly on an airplane, flight attendants instruct you to put your oxygen mask on first, before helping the person seated next to you. Why? Because if you run out of oxygen, you can’t help anyone else with their oxygen mask. Military and veteran caregivers, if you don’t take care of yourself, you can experience burnout, stress, and a number of other issues.
On April 27, we invite you to "put your oxygen mask on first" and join us for a day of respite and self-care. The day will feature self-care focused activities, special guest speakers, time to connect with a community of caregivers, and other fun activities. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, along with exciting raffle prizes.
This year we are welcoming Mrs. Debbie Sprague author of A Stranger in my bed. Who will be speaking briefly and then signing her book.
Guest speakers include Ms. Jennifer Mackinday and Mrs. Shawn Moore.
