On December 19, 2018, the world sadly lost a bright light in Molly Kurvink. We are holding a night of celebration and remembrance to honour her amazing life and legacy. You are invited to join us for this important event.
The event will consist of sharing stories, music, food, and community. There will be a set program, as well as time for others to speak/perform should they desire. If you wish to speak or play a song, please contact Sue Smith or Jeff Bird.
Some things to note:
Food will be potluck style so please bring something to share.
Food and drink will be provided, but you are welcome to bring something to share if you wish.
Please note that parking at the club is limited, so we encourage carpooling where possible.
There is no garbage pickup at the club, so we are aiming for a litterless event. Please bring your own plate, cup and cutlery.
The Yellow Rose ScholarshipAs a way of honoring Molly’s legacy and impact on the sailing community, we are announcing the creation of the Yellow Rose Scholarship. This scholarship will pay for one deserving girl to attend sailing camp at the Guelph Community Boating Club each summer. Our aim is to fund this for the next 15 years, with a goal to raise $3,000 at this event. Should you wish to contribute, we will have options to donate via cash or cheque (anonymously if desired).
If you have any specific questions, or would like to volunteer to help out, please contact Adeline Palm at firstname.lastname@example.org.
