SUNDAY, September 8, 11 AM-5 PM--Friends and Family BYO Picnic and Hootennany
Finally, we will conclude our celebration with the Family and Friends BYO picnic at Irvine Regional Park, in the Deer Den Group Area http://www.ocparks.com/civicax/filebank/blobdload.aspx?BlobID=28644. There is a $5 entry fee per vehicle, and no alcohol is allowed. Look for signs to the picnic once you are inside the park--the easiest way to find us is to follow the OC Zoo signs, and we will have arrows pointing the way as well. Look for Parking Lot T area, which is near the zoo. When you get into Parking Lot T, go left and you will see signs showing you where we are!
The park snack bar is fairly close by if you want to purchase food. There are also several places along Chapman where you can buy sandwiches or other fast food--just google E. Chapman, Orange, fast food for lots of places to choose from--you'll be surprised by the variety of food available!
There are a lot of large trees in our area, but there is no seating below them so bring lawn chairs if you can. There are many picnic tables, however.
