Case Study: MnDOT Maturity Model Assessment Program
In state government, competent information management is critical to providing high-quality, low-cost services to the public. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) Information Governance Team believed that they had a robust Records and Information Management (RIM) Program. They regularly updated their retention schedule, metadata repository as well as their Business Data Catalog (BDC). Although the team felt confident in the program, they had no way to verify that their program was having the intended effect. Obtaining quality feedback from MnDOT employees was essential to obtain the information that was needed. The team chose the ARMA maturity model to complete this task. What they found was that there were more improvements that were needed and could be made.
We invite you to hear this case study and learn how you can adapt the maturity model to improve your RIM Program. We welcome and encourage you to share this event with others.
