Frantzdy Pierrot (born 29 March 1995) is a Haitian-American footballer who plays as a forward for EA Guingamp in the Ligue 2 and the Haitian senior national team.

In January 2018 he had the opportunity to be drafted with a pro contract to the MLS, but two Belgian players agents (Aref Said & Manuel Ponce y Vazquez) spotted him and were able to convince Frantzdy and his family to move to Belgium to join the Jupiler Pro League.

Career

College & Amateur

Pierrot played two years of college soccer at Northeastern University between 2014 and 2015,[1] before transferring to Coastal Carolina University in 2016, where he played for another two years.[2]

Pierrot also appeared for USL PDL side Reading United AC in 2016[3] and 2017.[4]

Professional

On January 19, 2018, Pierrot was selected with the 27th overall pick of the 2018 MLS SuperDraft by Colorado Rapids.[5] However, he did not sign with the club.[6]

On 27 July 2018, Pierrot signed a 4-year contract with Belgian First Division A side Royal Excel Mouscron.[7] One year later, he joined French Ligue 2 club EA Guingamp. He signed a 4-year contract.[8]

Pierrot was born in Haiti, but grew up in Massachusetts in the United States where he attended Melrose High School.[10]
