North Sanpete High School had its beginning in two separate schools, Moroni High School and North Sanpete High School. Moroni High School was opened in 1912.

Robert H. Hinckley was an early faculty member of NSH, and started Hinckley Automotive in Mt. Pleasant before it was moved to Ogden.[2]

The school offers many extracurricular activities, including a chess club, various sports teams such as track, tennis, football, choir, a multicultural club, a school newspaper (NS Times), and a jazz, marching, and pep band. A high school course was begun in Mt. Pleasant in 1908. The original North Sanpete High School was completed in 1912.
