Sally C. Morton

Sally C. Morton is an American biostatistician specializing in comparative effectiveness research. She is Dean of the College of Science and Lay Nam Chang Dean's Chair Professor of Statistics at Virginia Tech, and was president of the American Statistical Association in 2009. She has been a fellow of the American Statistical Association since 2000, and is also a member of the International Statistical Institute [1][2] and a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.[3] She won the Founders Award of the American Statistical Association in 2015,[4] and is the 2017 winner of the Janet L. Norwood Award.[3]

Morton was educated at Stanford University and the London School of Economics. Before joining Virginia Tech as Dean of the College of Science, she worked at RTI International, the RAND Corporation, and the University of Pittsburgh.[1][2]
