New Zealand Flora articles

Hi Kiwibibble, While patrolling new NZ articles, I have noticed a lot of the articles you have been creating. I think that it is hazardous to create new articles from a reference in which they get only a passing mention ([1]). Examples: Ctenopteris looks nothing like a typical genus article. Giving a particular habitat example of a single species may mislead the reader to think the entire genus is endemic to New Zealand, when it is worldwide and very diverse (e.g. both ground ferns and epiphytes). Also, your original version of Myrsine australis painted a very different picture to that gained from a brief survey via google. dramatic (talk) 02:41, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the popflock.com resource arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Pseudopanax simplex

Hi @Kiwikibble: I notice you started Pseudopanax simplex. I would like to move it and rename it Raukaua simplex. The NZ reference cited and plants of the world online together with the few taxonbar entries all indicate that Pseudopanax simplex is a synonym of Raukaua simplex.
