Zhu Lin (Chinese: ; pinyin: Zh? Lín; Mandarin pronunciation: [ú lǐn]; born 28 January 1994) is a Chinese tennis player. Zhu defeated reigning Doha champion Elise Mertens in Dubai 2019.

Career

Zhu has won one doubles title on the WTA Tour, one doubles title on the WTA 125K series as well as eleven singles titles and six doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. On 4 November 2019, she reached her best singles ranking of world No. 83. On 1 May 2017, she peaked at No. 106 in the doubles rankings.

Zhu made her WTA Tour debut at the 2014 Hong Kong Tennis Open. Having entered the qualifying tournament, she defeated Wang Yafan, Raluca Olaru, and Elitsa Kostova for a spot in the main draw, where she subsequently recorded her first ever main-draw win at the WTA level by defeating Kristýna Plí?ková in the first round.

Zhu made her Grand Slam singles debut at the 2015 Wimbledon Championships, where she lost to Belarusian qualifier Aliaksandra Sasnovich in three sets. After losing six first-round matches, Zhu clinched her first singles victory at a Grand Slam tournament at the 2019 US Open, beating compatriot teenager Wang Xinyu in straight sets.
