Jasmine Paolini (Italian pronunciation: [pao'li:ni];[1] born 4 January 1996) is an Italian tennis player. On 14 June 2021, Paolini reached her best singles ranking of World No. 87. On 19 July 2021, she peaked at World No. 122 in the doubles rankings. Paolini has won one doubles title on the WTA Tour. She has also won one singles WTA Challenger title as well as eight singles titles and one doubles title on the ITF Circuit.

Personal life

She was born to an Italian father and to a mother of Ghanaian and Polish descent.[2]

Professional Career

2015: WTA debut

Paolini was given a wildcard into the main draw of the doubles tournament at the 2015 Italian Open, partnering Nastassja Burnett.

2018

After failing the qualifications at the 2018 Australian Open, she joined the Italian team in the Fed Cup in two occasions.

On 1 May 2018, she had her first win over a top-20 player when she beat Daria Kasatkina, and the following day, she won against Anna Karolína Schmiedlová.[3]
