I included northern Arabian mythology because there is so much borrowing from Mesopotamian myths. Also, they spoke dialects of the same language, the Arabs traded between countries of the Fertile Crescent (FC), and at some point they invaded the FC so that all the modern countries there are Arab countries. If however you feel that the ancient Arabians should be chiefly identified with the desert and not the FC, then feel free to comment here. Castanea dentata 19:00, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

Arabian deities should be listed in their own template, as the Arabians were not originally from the fertile crescent. Furthermore, the language that the ancient Arabians spoke was different from Aramaic and Akkadian altogether (although it was also Semitic). Perhaps this template can be renamed to "Ancient Arabian Religion"?--?arukinu 17:02, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
I reject the current name ("Fertile Crescent myth (Arabian)"), for the same reasons that ?arukinu does; so I'll rename the template. However, to prevent any doubt over what "ancient" means in this case, I'll rename it to the more precise title "Pre-Islamic Arabian deities". SamEV (talk) 21:52, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

"astral & local deities"

Is there a good reason for this entry to exist, given that it's extremely broad and links to nothing? Erobson (Talk) 16:55, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I'm removing this entry for now. Erobson (Talk) 14:23, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Why is this template blue?

I couldn't find a way to fix it. (talk) 15:19, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
