Tech trends are changing rapidly. Technological advancements are merging more resources as well as methodically using them. It’s not a surprise that every tech domain is using new technological improvements to do things efficiently. In line with that, below are some of the popular tech trends and the reasons these trends change the way we express ourselves.

Tech Trends and Their Effects

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence has been around for quite a while. AI is now used in almost every field. These advanced neural networks are more eligible to provide real-time solutions to real-time issues in a faster and more accurate way. Furthermore, robotics is securing a better future in every industry. Whether you are in the health, IT, music or agricultural sector, AI is very beneficial for you. Artificial intelligence has really affected how musicians express themselves. At the end of 2016, there was the first concert where only AI music has been performed. These days even songs are made using AI algorithms. This is mostly used to produce individual songs, background music, and even commercial music for small bands. While it’s absurd that robots will completely replace pop stars in near the near future, AI could improve to the point of producing music for larger brands and stores.

Virtual reality

VR services have been around for a couple of years now. The enthusiasm and innovation that came with this technology are quite high, and many industries are using its benefits for branding and marketing purposes. Even though this technology has several misconceptions, it’s still being used widely to boost production across the industries. We have quite a number of musicians who are already using VR, from doing music promotions to performing in VR. Some artists have also started live stream concerts in VR, which allows fans from anywhere in the world to share their feelings and experiences. For example, according to Marketing Week research 52 percent of VR consumers more likely use them to experience music events. While these streams are not as good and lively as seeing a band live, they’re still handy for people who cannot afford tickets for live concerts, people who live in poorly developed markets; and people with disabilities

Reverse songs lookup

Here comes another music listeners’ trend, as it’s aimed to help find the song that stuck in your head or which you just heard and instantly fall in love with. Reverse songs-lookup apps use the same technology that is used in reverse phone lookup. Just tap the listen on your device when the song is playing, or you can even choose to sing, whistle, hum to get the information of any form. Besides showing you the artists name, this app can show you the song name, album, and genre. The service will check its database for tor a match. Once it gets a match, it will list it for you. For example, such services can be used to check your band’s digital presence. Some of these apps can show you live lyrics, song recommendations, the song’s YouTube video, options to directly stream the song on different streaming services like Spotify, and also option to download.

Social media

With phrases like “tweeting,” “blogging,” and “following” dominating our normal lifestyle, there’s no doubt that social media plays a significant role in our contemporary culture. And this is why most companies are now using social media to connect and communicate with their audience. Gone are the days when musicians had to rely on TV and radio to push their music out to the public. With the emergence of social media technology such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and other social media services, music promotion and distribution has turned digital. Music artists have changed with the times, most of them have embraced technology, getting their feet wet and walking or even running along the avenues of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube to avoid the risk of being left behind, or worse, getting stuck in the unknown oblivion. Most of these musicians express themselves using photos and videos. You can judge one’s character by merely going through their profiles. According to MusicWatch Inc. almost 60 percent of social media users are visiting streaming services to listen to music after they see an update, tweet or post from a musician.

Conclusion

The music business has undergone a number of technological changes in the last 15 years and has mostly found itself on the right side with emerging technology. However, if the industry is to survive past 2030 it needs to fully embrace new ways of creating, sharing, and selling music.
